Biography

Freddie set England on fire in the summer of 2005, when he played a major role in regaining the Ashes from Australia - something England had been trying to do for 20 years.

His contributions were legendary, and won him the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award later that year.

Freddie is currently out of action after a fourth ankle operation, but English cricket fans cannot wait to see his return to the game fitter than ever in the summer of 2008.
